On Sunday June 7th, D performed her Sleeping Beauty routine for a second time in front of judges. She has spent the last few months perfecting her footwork, cleaning up her connecting steps, getting more height to her waltz jump and more rotations to her scratch spin. At this competition she wasn't so afraid of the unknown and instead became quite wired and animated as she waited for her turn. She took to the ice with confidence and joy and performed without flaw.
Her competitors had already perfected their scratch spin from a back crossover, so D was awarded 3rd place by the judges out of 3.
We thought she did GREAT and D was very, very please with the beautiful spiral she was able to achieve and perform (where she glides with one leg up high).
