Snow!!! ( in Alabama???)

Snow - what can you say about snow - well, it really doesn't belong in Alabama, because the whole state becomes paralyzed as the fear sets in. Snow is one of the loveliest sights as it gently floats down from the sky. To hear snow fall and to smell the snow is something that brings back many a childhood memory of shovelling our driveway. Snow makes the children go crazy to play outside. Snow.

On Friday, the girls and I secluded ourselves in our warm abode, not to travel on the roads, especially since we aren't mission essential for anything. A of course was Air Force mission essential and needed to travel into work, but he was well equipped with his All Wheel Drive vehicle.

Only one of my children decided to play outside - D. She begged and begged her big sis to play with her in the snow, but P just wanted to hibernate. Having just lived in NJ and seeing snow before, P just wasn't interested. However, D just couldn't resist the calling snow any longer and had to go play and build and make angels in the snow alone. Never the less, she had a blast.

By Saturday afternoon all our snow had melted and you wouldn't have known Alabama had one of it's rare snowfalls. Yet, everyone who lived here will remember the Snow of 2010.

Great pictures! D was out in what must be the record snow for that day in Alabama too! Heard that the day you had snow, there was measurable snow in 49 of the 50 United States for the first time in recorded history.

It snowed here, too, but not very much. I'm glad P stayed warm and D had fun outside!
