Into the City

Well this log is a little late in being posted; however, better late than never. So anyway, on Sunday we went into the City, yes New York City, and spent a very fun and busy day there. We started by seeing The Rockette's perform their Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. The USO of NYC offered free tickets to the military, so we jumped at the opportunity! We had a wonderful time watching the show. D was tickled by the dancing Santas and I cried through the Nativity Scene. We are very thankful for the generosity of the USO. Then off we went to FAO Schwartz toy store. The girls had never been there and we wanted to show them the huge floor piano that you can step on and play music. Here is a clip from the movie Big with Tom Hanks that highlight this piano.

The girls had a blast. Here is their version!

Afterwards we visited St. Patrick's Cathedral and had precious time with the Lord. And of course we visited American Girl Place - which is our all time favorite spot in NYC. P and D had saved up their money just for this visit! Finally we trudged to the Empire State Building. Deciding not to go up to the top because everybody was exhausted, we headed home on an Express train out of the City. I thank God for our safety and enjoyment.
