D's newest flute challenge has been the dotted quarter note and eighth notes. She really has a good understanding of them both, but sometimes they just give her such trouble. At first she just couldn't get the timing of this piece. A assisted her by locating an awesome computer program that allows you to input the notes and then the program will play the piece for you. Once D was able to hear how the timing went, she caught on in no time flat. You can tell she enjoys the rolling playfulness of this piece.
