Welcome....

Welcome... according to Webster it means to greet hospitably and with courtesy or cordiality.

So with open arms, I warmly welcome you back to my blog after a long summer's break. I've miss sharing our crazy life with you!

Speaking of welcomes, I think the U.S. Air Force has a different definition for the word welcome, especially when it applies to new officer's being inducted into the AF way of life.

This video is a little snip it of my husband's life as a Flight Commander. This event is called the Flight Commander WELCOME. I see nothing hospitable or cordial about it at all! This is day 2 of Officer Training School, when the Airmen finally "meet" their Flight Commander (AKA Instructors). Up until this point the trainees were busy with in-processing, haircuts, uniforms, marching, etc. From now on - it's no joke - welcome to the U.S. Air Force. Enjoy!

So good to have you back at the blog. I missed your stories. Love this clip. So easy to spot A and to watch the class' initial reaction and their confusion at "Okay, this is real now, no more pampering."
