Merry Christmas!

Wow, another blessed year has passed! This year we find ourselves once again in the south, but this time it's the DEEP south of Alabama!

First we had to move out of our McGuire Base house and into a newly built house on Ft Dix. A few short months later, we broke the boxes and packing tape back out and made the move, Do-It-Yourself, to just outside Montgomery, AL, where we found a beautiful 4 bedroom place to make our home for the 3-year tour.

We got word in March that A was going to be an OTS (Officer Training School) instructor, taking newly commissioned officers (Medical, Chaplain, and Lawyers) and molding them into leaders in the Air Force. He's on his second group of trainees, and will work almost non-stop from May-Sep with what they call the "Summer surge" of medical students on summer break.

P and D left their skates packed and have both been finding other things to occupy their time. D is VERY active in ballet, and will have her fourth performance of the Nutcracker this weekend. R is back to homeschooling D this year and the two are having a great time learning together.

If you look back at the past two months here on the blog, you'll see what P has been up to with her foot surgery. Still not sure how soon we'll be finished up and ready for action, so waiting patiently to make her next move. P's attending a private Christian school here, where she once again maintains an A average! Such a smart, budding teen-ager!

When R's not homeschooling, she's running the ReAlDaPh taxi service for the girls activities, or swinging by the OTS complex to drop off something A forgot on his way out the door at 0430! She keeps the blog going with all the family events, even though her hopes of filling it with pictures of Europe didn't happen this time 'round. But, there's a meteor impact crater site about 10 miles from the house which has piqued her interest...

We pray that you have had a blessed 2009 and look forward to seeing/hearing from you all in 2010. May God Bless you all this Christmas, for He is the reason for the Season!
