The whole first grade from D's elementary school (3 buses worth) traveled to the Camden Aquarium for a day of fun on Friday. I was invited to chaperone and eagerly accepted - wanting to spend quality time with my kiddo. The children had great trouble controlling their volume and impatience on the hour long bus ride to the aquarium. Once there, we found out that many other schools were also visiting, which made the touring rather crowded and very scary for me, since I was put in charge of 5 students. D would tell you that the highlights of the trip were seeing the hippos swimming and then all the animals she got to hold and touch such as a shark, jelly fish, sea star....

horseshoe crab....

sting ray....

AND, since her bday is during the month of May, she was selected to participate in the educational program pretending to be a sea star.
Overall, it was an exhausting and yet exhilarating day for D and her classmates!!!
